Visitation to the Chesapeake Bay Region Delivers $3.2 Billion in Economic Impact to the State of Maryland

A recent study conducted by Rockport Analytics finds that 8.9 million people visited the Chesapeake Bay region in 2021, driving $4.2 billion in visitor spending and $3.2 billion in new Gross State Product (GSP). Visitor spending supported nearly 60,000 jobs and added $610 million to state and local tax receipts.
